Check out the imdb entry for Karol Keyes - that was Luan's stage name early on - her real name is Carol Keyes!
Luan Peters was trained at the Italia Conti Stage School, and made her TV debut on 'Dixon of Dock Green' in 1966.
Luan appeared on the stairs at the beginning of 'Doctor in Trouble' (1970), in an Ultrabrite ad with Robin Nedwell, AND a Watney's ad years later.
As regards the '42 inch bust' alluded to in the imdb bio (publicity for her movie 'Man of Violence'), a couple of years later Miss Peters told The Sun newspaper, IIRC, her bust was 37" - 'I have a small back'.
Luan Peters has appeared in London's Theatreland in:-
Paul Raymond's 'Pajama Tops' (1969) at the Royalty Theatre - when I saw this amusing show, Luan had left! :-(
Willy Russell's 'John, Paul, George, Ringo andBert!" - excellent show in which the lovely Luan played various roles, including Linda McCartney; Tiny Tina (Luan) and the Titular Three sang, 'Oo ee Whacka'! :-D
'Decameron '73' at the Roundhouse (an amazing venue - a huge round converted railway shed!) - Luan *shone* in the previews anda0d sang 'Paradise City' and other songs; an English paper (The Sun or Daily Mirror) had a photo-feature, 'It's the Kama Sutra with the Lovely Luan!'.
Tom Stoppard's 'Dirty Linen and Newfoundland' (1976) at the Art's Theatre Club - Luan (Miss Gotobed) got a good review, as did the show, in The Times - Luan spoke on a 'This Is Your Life' tribute to Richard Goolden, IIRC, and Eamonn Andrews pronounced her name like 'Juan'! :-D - it is, of course, pronounced Lu-Anne.
Outside a Shaftesbury Avenue theatre on a Saturday in 1979, there was a huge colour picture of a beautiful blonde lady in vivid green apparel.
I walked past, stopped, retraced my steps and was greeted by a goddess beaming at me - the lovely LUAN PETERS! (the pic I mean, not the genuine article!).
I strode in, and ordered a centre-front seat for the following Saturday, TOUT-DE-SUITE!
Luan had just taken over the romantic lead in 'Shut Your Eyes And Think Of England!', starring Donald Sinden and Willoughby Goddard, from the lovely Madeline Smith.
Luan was excellent in the show, and the other two fellas were pretty good too! :-D
Luan is probably WORLD-FAMOUS for her portrayal of Raylene Miles in 'The Psychiatrist' episode of 'Fawlty Towers and, indeed, appeared in a recent PBS documentary to mark the show's 30th anniversary.
Little five-minute snippets of that show turned up recently on UK Gold, but, I missed a couple and didn't see the lovely Luan; I was SICK AS A PARROT! :-(
Luan was a Golden Girl on 'The Golden Shot' with Bob Monkhouse, and was introduced to the audience by Jimmy Tarbuck on his TV show; as Luan stood behind him Jimmy quipped,
"I've got a couple of 44s in my back!".
Luan was a regular on Cannon and Ball's weekly TV show, and once appeared dressed as an ant!
One week she slapped Bobby Ball (scripted!) harder than he was expecting, or, at least, he gave that impression to the merriment of the audience!
On British ITV's weekly 6.45pm Monday show 'Whodunnit' (around 1976) hosted by Jon Pertwee with team captains Patrick Mower and Anoushka Hempel, two celebrity teams would watch a short play and then question the players to try to find the murderer; there were different actors/actresses each week.
IIRC, in one play Luan gave a private leg display, which impressed one of the guest panellists; when he asked Luan if he could have a repeat performance she answered (in character),
"No you bleedin' can't!",
which got a big laugh!
Luan also appeared in an advert in an advert (if you follow!) where someone had just mown a lawn with a hover mower.
When they had finished shooting, a man asked the crew who was going to clear up all the grass clippings!
There was a Watney beer ad shown on British TV where Luan pointed out to Mr. Watney that pulling pints was giving her prominent biceps, and then we were greeted with a peek at one!
That scene was also shown on hoardings up and down the country!
During 'Target' with Patrick Mower, some of which was filmed in Southampton (England!), Luan broke a bottle of Dom Perignon champagne over Patrick's head, according to the papers!
Luan was resident singer on the luxury liner 'France' in the early 70s and appeared with the group 5000 Volts singing 'I'm on Fire' on a TV show hosted by Terry Wogan. Terry said the record was becoming very popular in Europe 5b4after which it charted in the UK.
When Luan appeared with 5000 Volts on BBC's Top of the Pops they made a studio recording for the show and it was noticed Luan's voice was different to the girl on the record who turned out to be Tina Charles!
It caused a furore in the papers and there was some debate as to whether the record had charted thru Luan's looks or Tina'a voice - both girls are, of course, very attractive and good singers.
You can see Tina Charles perfoming the song on YouTube; I'm waiting for someone to post Luan's Top of the Pops performance!
Luan also co-wrote and performed the title song for the movie 'Pacific Banana' (1980) playing Candy Bubbles with Robin Stewart, speaking of which
In 1987, I was staying at the Travelodge Hotel in the Walt Disney World Village in Orlando, Florida; the TV had a SelectoVision set-top box with 10 movies; I browsed the offerings, and heard a catchy song about Tahiti and bananas over the end-credits of a film; the song was co-written by a certain Luan Peters and I suddenly became VERY interested; the movie was Pacific Banana and Luan, looking STUNNING, played Candy Bubbles; a few years later, the movie showed up on German satellite as Banana Airlines, but, SFAIK, has never been shown on British TV!
Luan's singles include:-
Crazy Annie (1970,with Shag Connors!)
Everything I Want to Do/Billy Come Down(1973,Polydor)
Love Coun5b4tdown/Beach Love(1977,CBS,Germany) Dolphin Dive(1979)
